The emphasis is on individual challenge with groups supporting each other in the experiences. From pond dipping to wall climbing there are personal instructors always on hand to help. Listed as one of the best places to live on the Sunday Times list, Cranleigh is a small market town — which lays claim to the title of biggest village in England — with a busy high street bursting with lovely independent shops, cafes and restaurants — and a thriving arts scene.
The Richard Onslowa Muddy Award winning pub, sits proudly in the middle of town offering up great food as well as boutique bedrooms.
The Cafe at is good for casual lunches, along with Bricks. Cromwell Coffee House is the place for coffee and cake, and for a curry, locals head to Rania Restaurant. Christian Reid is a local estate agent.
The excellent Cranleigh School is a top day and boarding school set on an impressive acre site on the edge of the village, with the Cranleigh Prep just across the road. Locals tend to travel by train to London from to Shalford, Godalming or Farncombe stations in about 45 minutes.
