This year, the Post Office Department, for instance, will deliver over 72 billion pieces of mail.
A University of Texas professor who was the subject of widespread criticism for his teachings on adult male relationships with underage boys in antiquity is suing a student who he says spread false statements about him.
Thomas K. Joseph Sibley, an Austin-based lawyer representing Hubbard, said the John Does represent others involved in making the flyer, but he does not yet know their identities. The suit stems from a series of events that occurred last fall. In November, UT students began calling for the removal of Hubbard after learning of his writings on pederasty, a term commonly used to refer to the sexual relationships between adolescent boys and grown men in ancient cultures.
The flyer was distributed nationwide, reaching many faculty members and students in the classics field and eliciting hostile reactions to Hubbard, the lawsuit says. The lawsuit also points to a Dec. On Dec. Hubbard says he was forced to move to California.
